Sanctuary Cruises offers great cruises for schools, scout troops, home schools, colleges and conservation organizations. They are less expensive than our regular tours, and can be tailored to compliment what students are learning in school. Our Naturalists have Backgrounds in Marine Education, Marine Science and/or Marine Biology and Research
Our guides have local research experience and expert knowledge of the Monterey Bay and beyond in both research and education. Michael Sack is our main captain with 30 years of Pacific Ocean experience on power boats, sailboats, surfing and diving. He shares his knowledge of seamanship and piloting with students and is a trained Monterey Bay, marine life naturalist as well. You're going to love our knowledge and how we impart it. Our guides have taught all ages in the classroom, the lab and in the field.

We teach and live conservation
Not only do we take special care to introduce students to the marine environment and the sea life found on the Monterey Bay, but we also send them home with a healthy respect for our oceans.

College and Docent Field Trips
We also host universities for their marine biology course field trips. Recent cruises include UC Santa Cruz, the University of the Pacific and California State Parks Docents.
